Her heart will determine the future...
Out in the murky nebula lurks an unseen enemy: the New Horizon. On its way to populate a distant planet in the wake of Earth's collapse, the ship's crew has been unable to conceive a generation to continue its mission. They need young girls desperately, or their zealous leader's efforts will fail. Onboard their sister ship, the Empyrean, the unsuspecting families don't know an attack is being mounted that could claim the most important among them...
Fifteen-year-old Waverly is part of the first generation to be successfully conceived in deep space; she was born on the Empyrean, and the large farming vessel is all she knows. Her concerns are those of any teenager - until Kieran Alden proposes to her. The handsome captain-to-be has everything Waverly could ever want in a husband, and with the pressure to start having children, everyone is sure he's the best choice. Except for Waverly, who wants more from life than marriage—and is secretly intrigued by the shy, darkly brilliant Seth. Glow is the first book in the Sky Chasers trilogy.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading my ARC copy of Glow (which was kindly sent to me and my mum by Amy Kathleen Ryan). I loved how each different section of the book had a title of it's own as well as a famous quote that represented that part of the book. It was well written from start to finish! My favourite characters were Waverly and Amanda. Waverly, because despite everything she had the courage to stand up for what she believed in and because she wouldn't give up hope. And Amanda, because despite of her position on the ship, she risked everything to protect Waverly and the other girls. I absolutely love the cover as well! It suits the story within. The stars representing the universe the ships are travelling through and the girl representing Waverly & her importance throughout this book. "Her heart will determine the future..." is a beautiful teaser that is reiterated discreetly through Waverly's decisions and actions throughout Glow.
